Playtime with the Wombats Pop-Up Exhibit

Pop-up style exhibit based on the PBS Kids television series Work It Out Wombats!

We partnered with GBH, the leading multi-platform creator for public media in America, to design a pop-up exhibit based on the PBS Kids series Work It Out Wombats for use by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) affiliates nationwide for community engagement activities and events in support of the series. 

Using the series Computational Thinking (CT) goals as the design driver, we developed four (4) activities inspired by the series: Everything Emporium Farm Stand, Ice Cream Delivery, Shape Puzzles, and Treeborhood Cause & Effect MachineWe produced 10 sets of the pop-up exhibit that were distributed to PBS affiliates across the countryDesigned to be flexible and it in spaces between 500-1,000 square feetthe components were designeto be easily handled by event staff and volunteers, and for set-up inside or outsideIn addition, we produced take home activity kits, Family Playtime with the Wombats, to extend the learning for families who did visit and to reach communities beyond the reach of the pop-ups.
