about the exhibit component
This unique interactive component shows how some everyday objects are made. Pull the levers and see how different molds are filled and how quickly it can happen. All of the molds in this display case were once used in factories.
The cabinet is powder coated steel, with Acrylic molds. The fluid is a mineral oil-based hydraulic fluid that’s used on bicycle brakes. The molds represented are a clothes hanger, a comb, a Lego block, a fork, a flyswatter and a wing from a model airplane kit.
