about the exhibit component
We transformed a traditional outdoor activity into an indoor sensory experience. Play with kinetic sand, observe how the stamps interact with the material, and unexpectedly see how stamps are made with the three focused words – mold, press, and form. This component combines complex STEAM and sensory exploration into a simple tabletop activity.
The component is constructed of HDPE plastics and miscellaneous hardware. The sale includes 5 stamps (3 words – form, mold, & press and 2 symbols) and a 46″ circular floormat. This component can be seen in our traveling exhibit, How People Make Things.
Not included in the sale is the kinetic sand. Kinetic Sand is the ONLY sand recommended for this component. There are multiple color options of kinetic sand.
